Melissa & Nate | Wedding

I swear sometimes that people we meet with must think Rick and I are crazy. We always give the same advice, advice that to us seems so simple. This advice however seems to run contrary to anything one might read in a book on how to succeed in business lol. We tell our couples to look at the work of and meet with other photographers. One, two… Heck the last meeting we had the couple had scoped out 35 photographers! When you find someone whose work makes your heart sing, whose images make you feel something, well THEN you know you have found something truly special.

We met Melissa at the bridal show in Cheyenne. She was NOT looking for a photographer and had in fact already chosen someone to document her day. Being a creative and artistic person who really does have a passion for photography she did however stop by our booth to look through our images. That is when it happened, there was a connection made. Melissa and I sat and talked about photography for what had to be an eternity. She didn’t book with us at the show but left with a feeling in her heart. A feeling which prompted her to call us just a few days later.

We LOVE that! Melissa and Nate made the decision of who would photograph their wedding after checking out all the options and trusting their heart (and we are glad they did!)

Melissa and Nate were married in Cheyenne. After a touching ceremony at Calvary Chapel, they had a reception filled with family and friends at the Historic Plains Hotel. Air Force Blue was definitely prominent in their theme, highlighted by classic silvers and so much tender loving care in their decor. One of my favorite things about their big day were the toasts. Weddings typically have a few key toasts, the best man, maid of honor, father of the bride etc… These two had no shortage of people that loved them. Speaker after speaker took the mic to give the happy couple their congrats and we’ll wishes.

Melissa and Nate, congratulations… Thank you for believing in your heart that Rick and I were the only ones who could document your wedding day. We are honored and hope we did it justice.

As always here are a few of our faves:
