Tennille & Emmett | Engagement

When Steph and I first met with Tennille and Emmett, we knew that we wanted to work with them. They are a great couple… fun, laid back and getting married at a very interesting location. Tennille and her mom Diane asked so many of the “right” kind of questions, Steph and I knew that photography was important to them (Emmett and Tennille’s dad Dave were there are well, but they allowed the ladies to ask the questions, haha!) As the meeting progressed, Tennille and Emmett were unsure whether or not they would need an engagement session. They had a family friend who was going to take a few photos for them and felt they wouldn’t need more engagement photos. But, as Steph explained to them, the engagement session with your photographer is SO much more important than just the photos you receive. The engagement session is a time to get to know your photographers and have them get to know you as well. It’s a time to get used to having your photo taken by us. You want to build chemistry and form a connection with your photographers. In our opinion, the engagement session is one of the most important aspects of our wedding packages. It’s the reason we include an engagement session in every package.

Steph and I were thrilled when Tennille and Emmett trusted us and our suggestion enough to go ahead with the engagement session. After following weather.com all day, we decided to risk the evening scattered showers forecast and meet at the Laramie Plains Lakes. We found a 30 minute window of sunshine before we were eventually rained out. So Tennille and Emmett’s esession is TO BE CONTINUED in a week from now…

(TEASER: Here is one of our favorite photos from the day so far…)
