Before we were parent’s Rick and I traveled all over the US shooting weddings. It wasn’t uncommon for us to meet our couple the morning of their big day. This can be challenging at times because weddings are so personal. They are intimate and people really do have to let you into their lives, which allows you to photograph them as they are. This is precisely why we decided a long time ago to include an engagement session free of charge with every one of our wedding photography packages.
Meet Sarah & Drew… Sarah’s mom is an absolute sweetheart and is handling most of the details for their wedding. When they reserved us for their big day, it was actually Sarah’s mom who made all the arrangements. Taking advantage of their complimentary engagement session, these two spent the afternoon in Fort Collins with us searching for gorgeous sunlight. Drew is an engineer and Sarah is a teacher. It was so much fun not only getting to know them but also finding out who they are, what they love and what makes them tick. Now when we all get together at the beginning of August to celebrate (can you believe it is so soon) we won’t be strangers there to photograph their wedding, we will be friends 🙂
