CENTENNIAL WY WEDDING | Kari + Jake
You cannot help but be inspired at weddings. Seeing two people head over heels in love, committing their ‘forevers’ to one another is one of my absolute favorite parts of being a wedding photographer.
Kari & Jake’s Centennial WY wedding was different however… These two ARE head over heels in love with each other, that is absolutely true. But these two committed their ‘forevers’ not only to each other but also to our Great God Above. These two shared their faith during their ceremony. They didn’t stop at a reading, didn’t do it solely through scripture in their decor. They share the entire gospel – That God sent His only son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins. He rose 3 days later and those that believe in Him will have eternal life. I loved how their officiant reminded us that although this is a GREAT day in their lives it was not the BEST day. That was the day of their salvation. “Do you want to have LOVE like Kari & Jake?’ he asked… “Ask them about their love for Jesus.” <- LOVE THAT!
Photographically Kari & Jake’s wedding was an absolute dream. The colors, the decor, the attire, the beautiful people and their amazing love. So much thought, effort, planning and dreaming went into their big day and we hope our photos did it justice. I am still getting lost in their dreamy bridal formals. Fog, wide open mountainsides and Kari’s beyond gorgeous dress! These two made our job SO easy. Point.Shoot.Amazing!
Kari & Jake you are such an inspiration to us and such great steward of The Lord. We want to love as you love and know that is only possible because He loved us first. Keep up the good work excited to continue to see your lights shine and witness the amazing things God has in store!
Kari’s dress was stunning! We also love how our laid back bride chose to wear Birkinstock’s as her wedding shoes.
All of the bridesmaids said a prayer for these two lovebirds before they walked down the aisle.
We absolutely LOVED the beautiful home Kari & Jake chose for getting ready. Lots of gorgeous available window light. Here Kari is putting on her lovely dress surrounded by beautiful bridesmaids.
It is always so special when brides choose to incorporate COLOR into their wedding dress. This delicate purple sash is such a lovely compliment to her already stunning gown.
Rick and I always joke because as I sit in the salon for hours upon hours watching as hair is curled and makeup is done he gets to ‘hang’ out with the groom. Here is a perfect example, Jake getting a game of pool in before putting on his wedding attire last minute.
These two were completely on point when they chose to go with a bow tie for Jake. He looked so elegant and classic!
Prayer and support from his groomsmen and family before heading out to the ceremony.
These two were married right along the river. Their altar was hand crafted from vintage doors and two gorgeous old west barrels made the perfect flower stands. Another cute detail included here is the fact that BEHIND where they stood they had arranged river rock into a heart with their initials. Too cute right?!
This cute little flower girl totally stole the show in her delicate flower crown and how adorable is their ring bearer?
Kari and her father making an entrance as they walk down the aisle surrounded by family and friends…
Jake has GOT to be one of our favorite grooms. Before the ceremony he mentioned to Rick that he was most likely going to cry when he saw Kari for the first time down the aisle. We adored how real he chose to be and so vulnerable in this moment. THAT is the reaction that every bride wants, am I right girls?
Jake regaining his composure as their officiant begins the ceremony…
One last look at his little girl, LOVE the way this proud father looks in this sweet moment.
What an exceptional crowd. When you meet Kari and Jake however it isn’t hard to see why they had such an incredible turnout for their Centennial WY Wedding ceremony.
Faith is SO important to these two, what a beautiful moment in prayer captured here.
Jake receiving the rings from his best man who was also his brother…
Love this close up shot of the groom placing the wedding band on the bride’s finger.
Another heartfelt moment from this beautiful mountain ceremony.
Intimate viewpoint from the groom’s side, Kari’s sweet shy smile says everything here.
Another viewpoint shot this time from the bride’s side. Jake just looks so overwhelmed with love!
Hands for the first time complete with wedding rings.
As newly married husband and wife, Kari & Jake enjoy a first kiss a such.
The bride and groom make their way down the aisle, high fiving along the way…

Isn’t the color in these bridesmaids dresses just divine? They all looked so stunning!
Along the river we were blessed with finding some tall grasses to photograph our couple.
Classic portrait of the bride and groom set amidst the Wyoming scenery.

Love not only the intimate feel of this snapshot but also Kari’s pensive content looks

A romantic moment between the bride and groom among the sagebrush, how Wyoming is that?
Kari was BEAUTIFUL, love love love her wedding bouquet from Fresh Flower Fantasy
What a beautiful, still moment between this bride and groom
Just a classic Wyoming wedding portrait, surrounded by the golden rod scenery we all love! Wouldn’t be a Centennial WY wedding without this picturesque backdrop.
Loved the vintage decor used throughout. Also thought the use of a hashtag to collect photos was a clever touch…
I chose to photograph Kari & Jake’s rings in one of the many crab apple trees on the property. Don’t you just adore their hand painted wedding sign
These two chose to carry a wine them in their decor with stunning pops of gold to accent their pale perfect wedding colors.
These two opted for a ‘naked’ wedding cake and it looked as good as it tasted! This Centennial WY Wedding isn’t the only one we’ve seen embrace this trend. We have been seeing more and more wedding cakes in this style.
Beautiful backlit first dance shot of our bride and groom
Not just a romantic moment the bride and groom really enjoyed their time together during the first dance. Here they are seen not only dancing but also kissing and laughing. Love these two!
What a great dip at the end of the bride and grooms first dance!
Here are a few from the Father Daughter and Mother Son dances included in their reception. Always enjoy seeing how these wonderful parents are honored in these moments.
Kari & Jake chose to switch things up a little from the traditional bouquet toss. Here you see the single GUYS in attendance literally leaping in the air to catch those stunning flowers for their own sweethearts.
Here the single LADIES are pictured excited to catch an autographed UW football with the garter wrapped around. Love how it is being HIKED to our groom.
Dance party photos captured during the reception.
Wedding guests letting lose and showing off their dance moves during their wedding reception.
We saw some really FANTASTIC dancers at this wedding. The dancefloor for this Centennial WY Wedding was PACKED the entire evening!
