We always ask our clients what kind of a feel they are looking for when it comes to their engagement session. In Anna & Kendal’s case they informed us their wedding theme was ‘enchanted forest’. They asked us if we might be able to dream up some Cheyenne engagement photography that centered around this concept. We were up to the challenge and we hope we delivered for this sweet couple!
When Anna & Kendal arrived they were just some of the sweetest people we have ever met. Shy, polite and that gorgeous flower in her hair was the FIRST thing I noticed. She informed us that is sort of her trademark, LOVE THAT! Donning a gorgeous white dress and shoes that were entirely too cute to be hiking around with us, we thanked her throughout the session for being such a trooper. I bet her feet were killing her! Kendal was cool & confident, so easy to pose and managed to ignore our cameras and just get lost in the moment with Anna.
We started photographing along a gorgeous mountain path, lined with statuesque evergreens on both side. The sunlight peeked in through the trees and we were able to get some stunning imagery here. These two were amazing though, from there they let us march them into the thick forest, lush with overgrowth. We sat them on rock’s, hid them in the trees, hopped puddles and swatted mosquitoes together. SO much hard work went into these ‘effortless’ Cheyenne engagement photos, but you couldn’t tell with how peaceful and in love these two are!
I think my FAVORITE thing about their session was the way they were with one another when they forgot they were being photographed. Close, intimate, laughing out loud with their heads thrown back. They interlaced hands, exchanged glances and just embodied everything that a newly engaged couple should be. These two are head over heels in love and it totally shows!
Anna & Kendal, thank you for letting us march you all over the best places that the forest had to offer. I am interested in doing couple/engagement photos for the first week of July in Grand Teton National Park. So the date is flexible. We’re interested in Jenny Lake Trail or Leigh Lake Trail, since these are the easier trails to hike in a dress. What would something like this cost total? Could you please also provide detail on what this includes?
