GLENROCK WYOMING WEDDING | Jennifer & Cody

We had the most amazing time photographing Jennifer and Cody’s Glenrock Wyoming wedding! As we pulled up to Grants Ranch, which was the site of the wedding for the day, the first thing we saw was a giant red barn. If you are a wedding photographer and the first thing you see is a GIANT RED BARN, you immediately thank God because you just know it is going to be a great day! After spending an hour fishing and laughing non-stop during Jennifer and Cody’s engagement session, we also knew just how much fun we would be having with these two on their wedding day as well.

Jennifer and her sister got ready in the lower level of the barn. Combine a beautiful bride in a stunning bridal gown with gorgeous light in the middle of an amazing barn…and you pretty much have a photographer’s dream! All we had to do was not screw this thing up, right? Jennifer didn’t know at the time, but her sister had planned for them to be picked up at the barn in a horse and carriage. The two of them were then driven to the outdoor ceremony area.

Jennifer was walked down the aisle by her brother and sister and as soon as she exited the carriage and turned the corner she locked eyes with Cody, staring at him the whole way down the aisle. Their intimate ceremony was officiated by their home “cowboy pastor” from the Happy Jack Country Church in Cheyenne, Wyoming. After a beautiful ceremony, Rick and I had the chance to take the new bride and groom back the the barn for their bridal portraits. We, as always, chased the good light and focused on just how natural Jennifer and Cody are and just how much they love each other. And if we haven’t mentioned it enough already, this Glenrock Wyoming wedding had a giant red barn for us to use for photos.

The day ended with a small country reception that was filled with thoughtful and rustic details. Not only did Jennifer and Cody serve doughnuts instead of cake, they had a NACHO BAR for their guests! Have you ever had beef brisket nachos? If you have net, you HONESTLY need to add this to your bucket list ASAP!

Jennifer and Cody, we appreciate you both so much! Thanks for your amazing senses of humor! Thanks for having us document this incredible day for you! Thanks for making God and His Word such a large part of your ceremony! And, thanks for being so thoughtful and accommodating to everyone on your wedding day. You guys are the best! 🙂

Jennifer and Cody’s details were also perfectly chosen for their big day.

The lovely bride was surprised by her sister and was brought down to the ceremony in a horse and carriage!

Jennifer is one of the funniest brides we’ve ever had; her sense of humor is incredible!

Jennifer and Cody had their home pastor from Happy Jack Country Church in Cheyenne on hand to marry them.

We love being able to document intimate weddings where friends and family are such a large part of the day.

It also incredible hearing a self described “old cowboy baptist preacher” sharing the Gospel during the ceremony!

Cody kept trying to steal a look at his bride as the pastor was going through the ceremony.

We definitely enjoyed both the simplicity and intimacy during Jennifer and Cody’s entire ceremony.

When God gives us a giant, amazing red barn and two people who love each other SO much our job is super easy!

We even had the opportunity to venture inside the amazing red barn for some romantic bridal photos.

The light inside the barn was stunning and completely worked for these two!

Love the genuine smile Cody has here; the look of a very happy groom.

The outside of the barn was obviously picturesque as well and Jennifer and Cody were basically posing themselves.

We probably could have photographed inside and outside this barn for hours! Haha!

…the reception felt just like you would imagine an intimate barn wedding.

Capturing one of these little, fleeting moments is one of our favorite things about wedding photography!
