KIM + SCOTT | ARDENT ASSOCIATES {Ardent Welcome}

For as long as I can remember it has been just the two of us. Rick and I started our company working from a desk in our bedroom. We soon outgrew the ‘desk’ and moved into the dining room. We outgrew the dining room and relocated to the basement. When the basement could no longer contain Ardent we moved into a studio in the heart of Downtown Laramie…. God has blessed our little company. Over the years we have gone from being able to count our clients on one hand to traveling all over the US documenting the most important days in people’s lives. We have been together through it all. Our world however has constantly changed, for the first time when Miss Chloe Lynn entered the picture and now we are ready to welcome Baby Noah to our hearts this May.

Rick and I LOVE what we do. We are passionate about amazing people being able to have amazing photographs of the most important moments in their lives. As our company grows however our schedule tends to fill earlier and earlier. Inevitably there are many couples each year we do not get to work with us, instead having to let them know we no longer have their date available. It absolutely breaks our heart when a bride emails, it seems to be a perfect fit, then we find out their date has already been reserved for a while now 🙁 Why couldn’t we just clone ourselves. Ok so maybe not literally. But what if we could find a husband and wife that loved photography, that obsessed about documenting moments. That had a fresh take on creatively capturing every last detail of beautiful weddings. You may have noticed some new faces here at Ardent. Sessions popping up that mention ‘Ardent Associate Photographers, Kim & Scott’. We are so happy to ‘officially’ announce the newest members of our team. God brought Kim & Scott to us, we have no doubt. Our associate photographer ‘position’ was CREATED just for these two and we are so happy to be able to offer their services to our clients.

• Making Kim laugh

• Amassing quite the wardrobe of snarky tshirts 😉

These two are head over heels for one another and to say they are dedicated to what they do would be a complete understatement. Kim cries at EVERY wedding… behind the lens… especially during the father daughter dance. Scott is one of the most random (and hilarious) people we have ever met. They are both passionate about family and  believe God has lead them down the path as photographers to be able to witness love, compassion, and experience life and share those feelings and moments with others through photographs. Everyone has a story to be told, they LOVE to be there to document the important pages.

You  will be seeing A LOT of these two here on the blog as well as on Facebook. They already have a packed schedule for 2015 and are accepting clients for 2016 as well. What is a post WITHOUT pictures (and lots of them). Did we mention that in addition to being part of the Ardent Team these two are also getting married later this year? Rick and I will be there on their big day capturing it all and heading out with them last year for their engagement session was a blast!
