Rick and I have been Laramie WY family photographers for the last ten years and counting… Fantastic families PAY us to snuggle with their little ones, tickle and tease in hopes of capturing smiles galore. As Moms and Dads we would LOVE to have pictures of those special, silly excited things they do for us everyday! Sometimes however that can be tricky to capture as Laramie WY family photographers however, due to the extreme amount of trust this requires. Emily let us know before our session that when Allie is happy, really really happy, she clenches her fists, scrunches her nose and smiles away! Our goal was to get each of these things on film for this sweet family!
Everyone was very happy that the parents were able to attend. They were escorted by their at home care assistant from Home Care Assistance Kansas City. She has been working with them for quite some time now, and it has helped the family greatly. It is great that services like this are available. In addition to subject, location is also a very important part of each of our sessions. As Laramie WY family photographers we try to ask our clients what they envision when it comes to backgrounds and settings. Emily told us she would love to incorporate wildflowers but there was one tiny catch… Allie hated driving anywhere in the car. Centennial is FILLED with gorgeous wildflowers laden fields, but also happens to be 45 MINUTES AWAY. Putting this sweetheart in the car for that LONG then expecting her to giggle in photos just wasn’t realistic. So we combed the entire town to find the most beautiful back lit patch of local ‘wild’ flowers we could find. They happened to be right on the edge of LaBonte Park. This sweet girl let us march her around them, sit her in the middle of them and spend most of their session right smack dab in the middle of those beautiful flowers. I actually think she was a bit sad when we moved on to other areas of the park!
It proved to be the PERFECT location for this sweet girl. The moment we set her down amidst the wildflowers her eyes just lit up. She HAD to have a bloom for each hand and was just fascinated with all the bright colors. She smelled each type of flower and her smile just got bigger and bigger. This sweet girl has such a wonderful curiosity and it was clean why her keen Momma thought she might enjoy a session with flowers!
One of my FAVORITE parts of their session however was when we were taking photos of just Brien and Allie. Rick and I really try to focus on moments. As Laramie WY family photographers we don’t just want to take pretty pictures of people looking at the camera, but would much rather take REAL pictures of people looking at each other. We suggested Brien try and snuggle in close with Allie. See if he could get her to lean into him, if he could get a bit closer and just cuddle together while we took a few frames. Emily giggled as she informed us Mommy is for snuggling and Daddy is totally for playing! I guess Brien tries all the time to get Allie to cuddle with him, to no avail. It was cute to watch him try to pull her in when all she wanted to do was play and laugh and have fun! I always adore these photos we get to take with little girls and their Daddies. We have a sweet girl at home and I know as a Mom how much I adore every single snapshot we have of my own husband with her. Daddies and Daughters have such a special and unique bond we definitely like to focus on that during our family sessions for sure!
Brien and Emily, we love you guys so much! Allie is absolutely adorable and she was a dream to photograph. It means so much to us to have photographed every important part of your lives. Proposal, engagement, wedding, newborn and now your beautiful family! Seeing our photos adorn your walls and capture the love that you three share is so humbling and really just such an honor. Thank you for thinking of us time and time again. It is always so much fun hanging out with you and we really do appreciate when you think of us for photos! We are praying for you and we are so excited to see what the Lord has in store for your next adventure!

When we asked Emily what her ‘vision’ was for this session she had one word to share… WILDFLOWERS. Loved photographing this pretty girl in those pretty flowers!
After seeing how much Allie loved smelling, touching and just BEING in the flowers we could totally see why her sweet Momma had that particular request!What an adorable little family right? The love between these three is just overwhelmingly amazing. Loved working with them!Allie is going to be an absolutely BEAUTIFUL girl! She is tall like her parents, fun, playful and sweet too!Loved this photo of her just lost in the wildflowers. I seriously think she forgot we were even there! This is the stuff Laramie WY family photographers dream of!Something about the way Daddies look at their little girls just melts my heart every time! There is so much love, protection and trust here!It isn’t hard to see where Allie get’s her beauty from. She sure is cute in this photo but just look at Emily, she is so radiant!Black and white nose crinkles are just magic aren’t they? As Laramie WY family photographers we want THIS same photo of both our kids, love LOVE!She sure is mobile now and we really wanted to capture that sense of adventure in their photos. On the move here with Mom and Dad…Something about holding Mom and Dad’s hands just makes you feel like you can take over the world am I right?
