stephanie + brian | maternity {sage brush meets rustic barn}

“Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow” – James 1:17 NASB

Life is a miracle, the people God brings into our lives, the way He draws us closer to himself and especially when He decides to bless us with children. When you really stop and think about how intricate conception, pregnancy, birth and growth are, how can you not see the incredible beauty in the plan that our Holy Father has in place for us. When we found out that our good friends Stephanie & Brian were expecting we were thrilled for them and so excited to be able to document their miracle. When we asked Stephanie what kind of a feel she envisioned for these photos she told us of her love for sagebrush and rustic barns. Funny enough Rick and I happen to know a spot where the sagebrush grows wild, tall and bright yellow. It is incredible there and we knew it would be the PERFECT backdrop for these two.

We spent the afternoon with them in Fort Collins. Brian is in training to be a firefighter. Even though these two live in Laramie, throughout the week he stays in Colorado for his schooling and training. We thought it was SO special that they chose to spend what little time they have together these days, allowing us to photograph their growing family! The baby is due ANY DAY now and we will definitely keep you three in our prayers. Here is to a safe, FAST and easy delivery. Cannot wait to meet him!
