WINTER WY ENGAGEMENT SESSION | Emi + Brian

Rick and I love being out in God’s creation photographing people in love. We often attract clients who are also so in love with the gorgeous outdoors. During the summer you can find us in the mountains, traversing bridges, shooting in streams. My heart absolutely leapt for joy though when Emi & Brian asked for a Winter WY engagement session! Photographing the snowy scene painted here in our beautiful state was such a treat (as was working with these two lovebirds)!

We have photographed a Winter WY engagement session in the past but have never been fortunate enough to come across a fog frost for photos! Every tree branch, every blade of grass, all the underbrush, every beautiful surface COVERED with frost and icicles. Emi & Brian were so awesome to brave the extreme cold with us. Its funny if you just looked at the photos from this Winter WY engagement session you would have no idea it was FREEZING! These two were amazing, thankfully didn’t catch frostbite and completely rocked their engagement session!

Just a small drive DOWN the mountain brought us to golden rod grasses, flowing mountain streams and rustic lodge bridges. Snowy Mountain Lodge just outside of Centennial, WY holds a special place in the story of how these two fell in love and it was our pleasure to explore and capture their romance there. Don’t let that gorgeous heavenly sunshine fool you we were still photographing in very cold temperatures however props to Emi & Brian for being able to block that out and just have fun with each other.

These two are going from having a Winter WY engagement session to having a Winter WY WEDDING here next month. There is a beautiful day planned centered around Christ and focusing all their plans on sharing what an absolute gift that marriage is to us from our Lord! We are so looking forward to being a small part of it and seeing what amazing things He has in store for this wonderful couple!
