FORT COLLINS LDS TEMPLE SEALING | Elena + Adam

Rick and I were so happy to photograph Elena & Adam’s Fort Collins LDS Temple Sealing. We have known Elena’s sweet family for years now, beginning with photographing her sister Brindisi’s big day! When their momma emailed to let us know that Elena was engaged we were thrilled when she asked us if we would like to photograph for them once again.

I am not going to start off this post not by telling you how amazing their Fort Collins LDS Temple sealing was (and it was AH-MAZE-ING just so you know). Instead I am going to blow your mind for a moment by telling you that our uber talented bride Elena MADE HER OWN WEDDING DRESS. That’s right, that gorgeous tea length gown she is wearing? She created it from nothing, with her own two hands. I am so so so in love with the style she chose, the beautiful fabric she crafted it from and the way she bravely decided to take on the task of not buying the perfect dress, but making it! Ok I digress we can now absolutely move on to all the wonderful details that surrounded their day. Just had to get it out there though, SHE MADE HER OWN DRESS. Wowza that’s gutsy!

When we arrived at the Fort Collins LDS Temple to photograph Elena & Adam’s sealing to wildflowers galore in full bloom! A gorgeous full flowing fountain stood in the middle of the grounds and it filled the air with the sound of trickling water. Their friends and family eagerly awaited the happy couple making their temple exit and emerging to celebrate!

After their exit and many hugs from family and friends to congratulate them it was on to photos. We photographed family and bridal party on the Fort Collins LDS temple grounds then headed to Lory State Park for their bridal formals.

These two lovebirds let us march them up mountains, walk them through the pines and got lost in each other among the sagebrush. What really struck us was how natural they were. Elena would just beam and smile so big when Adam got close. Adam being the gentleman that he is carries her gorgeous shoes every time we switched locations, giving her tired feet a rest. Photographing them was easy, they were not only in love but you could also tell they were amazing friends.

When we had our fill of the mountains we headed to Boulder, CO for their reception. The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art was the PERFECT backdrop for their celebration. What started as a Fort Collins LDS Temple Sealing ended as a trendy and artistic reception in a complete other city! They decorated with tiny twinkle lights, some of the most beautiful flowers we’ve ever seen and inspiring art that just made you feel creative and inspired!

Italian sodas served with vintage golden straws were such a cute idea! We also loved that for their first dance they chose a song from Disney’s The Lion King. What a unique and personal way to make their night so ‘them’. Surrounded by friends and family these two celebrated in style and made their grand exit surrounded by SPARKLERS!

Adam & Elena, thank you for having us. It was a pleasure to work with you and help you to capture such an important day. We cannot wait to see what amazing things are in your future!
