Mel and I went to high school together. It is always such an honor when old friends hire us for their big day. It was so much fun getting to catch up with her as well as meet the love of her life Jason.
Shortly before the wedding Mel’s Dad had some major medical emergencies that left him partially paralyzed on his left side. Mel told us it would be absolutely exhausting for him to be there on the day of and she really wasn’t sure how long he would be able to stay. Not only did this wonderful and remarkable father walk his daughter down the aisle but he toughed it out and we found him out on the dance floor at the end of the night. The most touching moment had to be the father daughter ‘dance’. In place of the traditional dance Mel chose to surprise her Dad by singing ‘Take Me Out To The Ballgame’ a song that had so much meaning and happy memories for them.
Grooms really aren’t into pictures generally. Jason was no exception. What was so touching however was that out of love and absolute adoration for Mel he never refused us whenever we asked him out for photo ops. Tons and tons of photo ops including heading back out to explore the grounds after dark. He was our willing subject and has all the makings of an exceptional husband!
