Rick and I first met Saige & Nick while photographing Kit & Jason’s Granby Ranch wedding. Nick was one of Jason’s groomsmen and probably did not know it at the time but he would soon be planning his OWN Ridgeline Hotel wedding in Estes Park. Many times friends and family of our couples get to witness first how Rick and I work as wedding photographers. Are we easy to get along with? Is our style laid back and documentary? Because they LIVED the day with the bride and groom they get a great feel for whether the photos we took helped to tell the actually story of how it all happened at Mint Springs Farm.
When Nick contacted us after he and Saige had decided to have us photograph their wedding we were thrilled. We adore them and also Estes Park as well so it was a match made in heaven. Originally Saige & Nick had originally planned on having their entire wedding at Mary’s Lake Lodge there in Estes. I will never forget getting a call from Saige informing us that their wedding venue had BURNT down and asking for some suggestions on where else they could say I Do. In the end they had their getting ready and ceremony there at Mary’s Lake Lodge then headed down the hill to the Ridgeline Hotel.
Not before accompanying us to Lily Lake however! What a treat, we went there for gorgeous Rocky Mountain views and beautiful scenery but when we arrived there was a glorious surprise. Seeing one moose is majestic but we saw THREE! A Momma moose had brought her babies to the lake and we even got to incorporate some of these majestic creatures into their bridal formals!
Nick & Saige, you day was so lovely! We loved spending time with you and your friends and family. SO much love in that group! Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your big day. It meant the world to us. We cannot wait to see what the future holds in store for you guys!
Saige’s dress from LUV Bridal was so simple and elegant as was her taste in wedding jewelry!
Jordan Southwick did such an amazing job on Saige’s wedding day makeup. It was SO flawless!
Don’t you just LOVE the lave and bead detailing on her gown?!
This Ridgeline Hotel wedding in Estes Park actually started out at Mary’s Lake Lodge…
Nick & Saige got ready in separate locations each with plenty of room to get ready and spend time with their bridal party!
The colors these two chose for their Ridgeline Hotel wedding in Estes Park were so classic and timeless!
One of my favorite things is seeing the groom anxiously awaiting the bride to walk down the aisle…
Saige’s brother walked her down the aisle. You could tell how close these two were and this was an emotional time for them both.
One last embrace before the ceremony started.
Saige’s vow were so wonderful! Personal, funny and super heart felt. Loved every single word!
Not to be outdone we really loved how Nick shared the story of when they first met. You could just feel how much love he has for Saige!
This has got to be my favorite image from their ceremony. These two are playful and fun individuals and her wink is so priceless.
Even though these two chose to have a Ridgeline Hotel wedding in Estes Park for their ceremony they chose Mary’s Lake Lodge. Check out that view!
Love it when friends and family tear up during the ceremony. What an honor it is to be a bridesmaid and watch as one of your best friends says I do.
Now THAT is a first kiss. Loved the dip…
What a good looking group of gentleman! Again these two did a really great job picking colors, so timeless!
One of the things we loved from their Ridgeline Hotel wedding in Estes Park was the gorgeous scenery that was available for bridal portraits!
Such a stunning group of ladies! And those flowers are exceptionally beautiful with all those roses!
After the ceremony we headed to Lily Lake with Saige & Nick for a bit of alone time as we photographed their bridal portraits.
The sunlight was absolutely unreal and we tried to soak up every last drop!
What a treat it was when we not only saw one moose but that moose turned out to be a Momma who was there with BABIES!
Saige is so beautiful inside and out. Her mermaid hair and gorgeous smile is matched only by her loving heart and the way she cares for those around her.
I bet you can’t tell that we totally fell in love with the dock at Lily Lake right? We definitely used it in many of their bridal formals.
Loved this relaxed natural smile that Nick gave us. Helps that the love of his life was standing right behind us when we snapped this photo lol!
The way the sunlight filtered through Saige’s breathtaking mermaid hair just MAKES these photos.
Just a classic portrait of the new bride and groom. Sans moose…
We really just adored how lost these two would become in one another. They completely forgot about being photographed and just were so casual.
This beautiful photo of the wedding bouquet is made even more perfect by the woodsy setting.
For their Ridgeline Hotel wedding in Estes Park these two chose very rustic decor. Loved their ‘guestbook’ that was handmade just for them!
Both of Saige’s parents have passed away. They had a beautiful memorial table with her parents wedding photos and toasting glasses on it as a tribute.
We really liked how they kept their decor simple and elegant. And those pops of red are just so perfect!
What is a ring shot without something amazing to feature them on. Loved again bringing a woodsy vibe to their day.
Toasts were all so amazing and thoughtful. Love how many people wanted to say something to the happy couple!
It is always so touching when the most important people in your life have something to tell you on the most important day of your life!
One of the perks of having a Ridgeline Hotel wedding in Estes Park is the amazing outdoor reception space they offer. Isn’t that tent beautiful?
First dance, don’t let our photos fool you these two danced literally in just moonlight. We added our own lights for photo purposes but tried to keep the drama!
Fun, spontaneous, playful… these two really are adorable if left alone to do their thing.
Dramatic moonlight dip to end their first dance…
This photo gives us all the feels. Saige’s father had passed away before seeing her get married. Here her brother dances with her as a tribute to him during the Father Daughter Dance.
