DOWNTOWN LARAMIE PORTRAITS | Ada & Nyasha

Rick and I were thrilled when Ada & Nyasha contacted us about taking downtown Laramie portraits. We have long since known these two because of the wedding industry. Nyasha is the owner of Party Pros Entertainment here in Laramie, WY. We were photographing a laid back cowboy wedding just outside of Laramie complete with homemade barbecue. Nyasha was their wedding DJ and Ada was tagging along to help him. We loved getting to meet them that day and continued to see them often at other mutual weddings and events. Nyasha is EXTREMELY good at what he does yes, but what really stood out to us was how genuine and kind he was. He was never stressed, always worked hard and had a smile on his face.

Fast forward and we get an email from Ada letting us know this sweet couple is coming up on their FIVE YEAR anniversary and she wanted to commemorate this with some downtown Laramie portraits. We of course said yes and got to designing their session right away. We knew these two would be awesome and that downtown Laramie would be an amazing location for them. What we didn’t know however is that they would be bringing the world’s most adorable puppy DJ, to their session. I am not one to have puppy fever but he was just TOO CUTE. One blue eye, one brown and the softest fur ever. Loved capturing them just loving on him and playing with him throughout the session.

We really are blessed here in our hometown when taking downtown Laramie portraits! We have such a cute downtown area, rich with history and full of interesting nooks and crannies to shoot with. There are metal fire escapes, gorgeous old brick and many creative and artistic murals. There is also the iconic walking bridge which is SO LARAMIE and we definitely spent a lot of our time there.

It was so much fun walking around Laramie with these two and getting to know them and their story. So many times we meet people, we network with them and we don’t have the opportunity to just be people and share stories etc. There wasn’t ever a lull in our conversation as we shared with them how we got started, what out upcoming season looked like and shared stories from some of our favorite weddings. Nyasha and Ada shared stories about how his little DJ company was growing and expanding to not be so little anymore. Nyasha is so humble but we found out that not only was he the official DJ for the University of Wyoming but also the Mountain West Basketball Tournament as well. They were also getting ready to be the official DJ for the Air Force Academy and Colorado State University. Their hard work has expanded them beyond just wedding and events, making them a major player in the sports entertainment industry as well. Their family is so nice and we are thrilled to see opportunity being presented for them!

OK now back to that adorable puppy right?! If you scroll through their images there is a hidden gem that we’ve included just for a laugh lol! It was spontaneous, impromptu and totally documentary! We were crossing the street in between locations and the opportunity presented itself to capture this funny moment. We debated on whether or not to photograph it and again when deciding whether or not to blog it but in the end it made me giggle so we just decided to run with it lol. Reminds me of when we include photos of crying children because we know their parents will get a giggle out of it lol.

As always here are a few of our favorite photos from Ada & Nyasha’s downtown Laramie portraits. Thanks so much for thinking of us guys!

DOWNTOWN LARAMIE PORTRAITSI seriously could not get over Ada’s hair for this session. She is so beautiful inside and out but I had some serious hair envy going on the entire afternoon!
DOWNTOWN LARAMIE PORTRAITSI love how if we gave them some space and left them to just be with one another they would smile, giggle and just adore each other which is magic!
DOWNTOWN LARAMIE PORTRAITSWhat a great looking couple right? Downtown Laramie portraits are so fun, love incorporating the city feel with all the shops and alleyways.
DOWNTOWN LARAMIE PORTRAITSLove this particular street in particular. See that teal storefront in between the red brick and white and gold? That used to be our downtown studio. This block will forever have a special piece of our hearts.
DOWNTOWN LARAMIE PORTRAITSIsn’t DJ the cutest puppy ever? With one brown eye and one blue eye he absolutely stole the show during these downtown Laramie portraits. Puppy fever anyone?

DOWNTOWN LARAMIE PORTRAITSThis is one of our faves from the session. Nyasha was being ornery and this is the look Ada gave the camera. I feel like this is a look she gives him often. These two are just too cute together.
