Fall is my absolute FAVORITE season. The season of change, what better change to celebrate than a new engagement. When Sam and Stephanie told us they wanted to head up into the mountain for the engagement session we were excited to be able to showcase their love among the fall colors. We spent the afternoon in Woods Landing, WY amidst yellow aspens, tall grasses and wide open spaces.
Our goal when it comes to engagement photography is to showcase our couples as they really are. We aren’t big fans of stuffy posing or relying too much on our backgrounds. We want their friends and family to look at their photos and say ‘that is SO them’. Engagement sessions are a great way for us to find out about our couples and how they best photograph. One of our favorite things about Sam and Stephanie, is Stephanie’s infectious open mouth laugh. Sam has a way of just looking at his girl and making her wide eyed and giggly. This set is full of so many moments between these two. I think at one point they may have even forgotten Rick and I were there, just having fun spending the afternoon with each other.
